The project POV is that society uses re-use and economies of scale to offer more than the sum of the parts. This should raise the lowest level up by some degree which is reflected as a basic unconditional income for all people which must at least cover the survival issues. There are arguments that those who don't put anything in shouldn't get anything out, but the society itself must take some of the responsibility for the proportion of its members who are in this unwell state of total non-giving.
