Hi all, I have created a my MediaWiki and I have installed the Extension:TreeAndMenu. I have created the tree and menu in sidebar but when I select a sub-page of a node-father is closes. I want that when I select a sub-page of a node-father remain open and not closed.

How can I do?

thanks

osv

Do you mean that you want the tree to remember what state it's in when you go to other pages? for example is the sidebar tree on this site working the way you want? it's done by adding an id attribute to the tree, then it will be stored in the user session. --nad 09:51, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi Nad,

thanks for your answer!!

I want that my menu works like the sidebar of this site: for example: if I click "CURRENT USERS" and I click "NAD" the father-node "CURRENT USERS" is not closed...in my menu if I click the sub-page, I see the content of page but the father-node is closed

thx OSV

Did you add the id attribute? that's what's needed to make the tree state persistent. --nad 20:27, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi Nad, where I must add the id attribute? In TreeAndMenu.php or in dtree.js? How can I add this? Help me....please thx a lot

Hi Nad,

how are you? Can you help me please? Where I must add the id attribute? In TreeAndMenu.php or in dtree.js?

You should never change the code of an extension, add the id in the wikitext tree syntax, look at the wikitext of our tree in MediaWiki:Sidebar and see the id in there, it's also covered in the docs at MW:Extension:TreeAndMenu. --nad 00:20, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
thanks a lot NAD
