This is the Nature Sanctuary at Findhorn eco-village [1] in Scotland. The wonky windows in this slate building are made from recycled whiskey barrels. The village has over 50 homes serviced by 4 wind turbines, solar water heating systems and a sewage treatment centre called the “Living Machine” [2] based on plant filters. — with Denice Witkowski, Jennifer Roeder, Deborah Ceslanski and Ted Kimber.
