Talk:Maintaining websites with a wiki

From Organic Design wiki

how are you doing this? i see A goes to 68.178.204.110 but then what? --Phalseid 02:30, 6 Jan 2007 (NZST)

It's done by simply pointing the domain at the IP like wikiexpert.com does but also having an xml article for the associated domain, in this case zenovia.net.xml. This is made possible by having domain-properties.php in the init event of your XmlWiki's default-properties.xml article. --Nad 02:51, 6 Jan 2007 (NZST)
There was a news item about it on 22 May 2006
Thanks bro...--Phalseid 15:53, 8 Jan 2007 (NZST)
www.zenovia.net and www.coolcrib.com both seem to go to Main Page?
All it does is apply the properties for the domain, if you want it to change the page it goes to or any other domain specific function you'll have to add a transform to your xml to do it. The example you've copied only changes the CSS and removes wiki links. --Nad 20:09, 9 Jan 2007 (NZST)
could you give an example of this transform? is it done in properties? --Phalseid 22:06, 9 Jan 2007 (NZST)
Ok done, add redirect.php to data in your domain-xml to redirect Main Page to <target>, see zenovia.net.xml --Nad 22:38, 9 Jan 2007 (NZST)
that works. excellent. what is your brew of choice? --Phalseid 14:53, 10 Jan 2007 (NZST)
Just a couple of nebuchadnezzar's of your finest Dom Pérignon will do thanks ;-) --Nad 22:15, 10 Jan 2007 (NZST)
