I was born in Germany in 1976 and moved to New Zealand in 1998, where I have made a home for myself. After gaining a trade qualification in Germany and doing some academic study in New Zealand, I became interested in new cooperative frameworks to allow people to work together and extend each others' ideas. This was driven by my realisation of how fragmented our society is and how we are all forced to "reinvent the wheel" through this (albeit profitable for some) fragmentation. I suspected that the solution must lie in some new software that allowed people to share and connect thoughts more easily. I thought of it as some kind of dynamic, three-dimensional mindmap which could represent concepts and show how they are connected.
